Aimie Atkinson and Matt Firth to Return to AN EVENING OF DIRTY DANCING: THE TRIBUTE SHOW UK Tour
Stage Acts Entertainment's smash hit tribute to one of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time, An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute Show continues to tour into 2014 and has today announced it's principle cast. The show is a fully choreographed celebration of the music from the iconic movie, starring a cast of incredible performers.
Returning to lead the cast are Aimie Atkinson and Matt Firth. Atkinson was the winner of the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre and recently played the lead role of Penny in the UK touring musical Carnaby Street. Matt Firth's theatre credits include Fame The Musical, the original cast of Rod Stewart's Tonight's The Night and the RSC's Beauty & The Beast. The production also features Tricia Adele Turner who recently played Vivienne Kensington in the West End production of Legally Blonde, Chris Southgate (Starlight Express, We Will Rock You), Grace Reynolds, Matt Cox, Laura Ellis and James Williams Davies.
Now in it's 4th smash-hit year, An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute Show is directed by Paul Spicer with choreography by Leanne Harwood. Dirty Dancing boasts the greatest movie soundtrack of all time and all the hits are here, superbly performed in this fast moving, slickly choreographed theatrical treat. Songs include: Big Girls Don't Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Hungry Eyes and, of course, the Oscar-winning (I've Had) The Time of My Life.!
