The Daily Mail revealed a stunning first look at The Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger as 'Grizabella', the fallen 'Glamour Cat' in the current London revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats. Scroll down for photos!

In her interview with the Mail's Baz Bamigboye, Scherzinger said: "It's the part I was born to do...There are so many layers to her.. no wonder [T.S.] Eliot warned it was too sad for children. Grizabella's broken, and I know what that feels like, to be broken not only on the inside from personal relationships, but in many ways. She's been shunned and mistreated by society, and her people. I understand feeling like an outcast, feeling like an outsider, feeling like I don't fit in and wanting to be accepted." She continued: "Things aren't always what they seem. I think even when Grizabella was at her most glamorous, she had a darker side...and that's what led her astray and down the wrong path."

Scherzinger is "digging deep into Grizabella's psyche for the role" by studying Eliot's book and "making the story more clear" through her acting and movement.

Andrew Lloyd Webber has yet to hear Scherzinger perform "Memory" live -- the actress is saving that debut for rehearsals. "It's sacred," she said.

Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical CATS, based on T. S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, returns to the West End for a strictly limited 12 week run at the London Palladium from 6 December 2014.

The original creative team -- Director Trevor Nunn, Associate Director and Choreographer Gillian Lynne, DesignerJohn Napier and Composer Andrew Lloyd Webber -- are reunited to bring CATS back to the West End this Christmas. In addition, Lloyd Webber is re-writing the music for two of T. S. Eliot's iconic poems.

In CATS, on just one special night of the year, all Jellicle Cats meet at the Jellicle Ball where Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, makes the Jellicle choice and announces which of them will go up to The Heaviside Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.
