Ripped from the pages of real life, Mortified Live is a show where adults share their most embarrassing childhood letters, lyrics, journals, home movies and artwork...in front of total strangers.

Seattle based performer Kimball Allen shares the stage with DC storytellers reading colorful journal entries chronicling his upbringing as a fabulous black sheep in a large Mormon family. Scroll down for a sneak peek!

Equal parts comedy, theater, and therapy, Mortified has been hailed "a cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek and featured on This American Life, NBC's Today Show, Entertainment Weekly and Talk of the Nation. Mortified is created by David Nadelberg and the Artistic Director is Neil Katcher. There are multiple chapters in cities from NYC to LA. Mortified DC is hosted by Adam Ruben.

Kimball Allen is a Seattle based actor and writer. He is a best-selling Off-Broadway playwright and member of the Dramatist Guild of America. Allen has been heard on NPR and seen on PBS, Amazon Studios and Comedy Central. He has written for several publications including The New York Times.

Mortified Live: Washington DC runs October 12th, 8:00pm at Town Danceboutique, 2009 8th Street NW, Washington, DC. For show info and tickets, visit getmortified.com.
