TINTYPES premiered at Arena Stage in 1980, was produced Off-Broadway later that year, and in 1981 received a Tony Award nomination for Best Musical.  A musical revue spanning the years 1890-1917, TINTYPES is a melting pot of the popular songs of the day when America's "Age of Innocence" drew to a close and Ragtime ruled.  Larger than life personalities of Teddy Roosevelt, Emma Goldman and Anna Held make their appearance in this snapshot of America at the turn of the century – a country steeped in patriotism, optimism, suffering and pride – forever changed by the wave of immigration.

The production will be directed and choreographed by Carole Graham Lehan who has worked extensively as both director and choreographer at Toby's Dinner Theatre on productions including Kiss Me Kate, Mame, Meet Me in St. Louis, Children of Eden (Helen Hayes nomination with Toby Orenstein), Big River and The Sound of Music. Musical Director for the production is Brant D.Challacombe, who has worked on the National tours of Cabaret and Annie, as well as regional productions of Floyd Collins, Parade and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Performing the role of Anna is Kate Briante whose credits include Susan in Company at the Harold Clurman Theater, the Pupil in The Lesson at Nat Horne Theater; Katherine in The Vagabond King at Cherry Lane Theater, Cassie in Harlem Sweet at the Amas Repertory and Vi in Footloose at Toby's Dinner Theatre as well as television and film appearances in Scent of A Woman, Awakenings, Age of Innocence, Law & Order and One Life to Live.  Evan Casey will be creating the role of Charlie, and his credits include Five by Tenn at the Kennedy Center, Urinetown and Ten Unknowns at Signature Theatre and Shenandoah at Ford's Theatre as well as Lend Me a Tenor and Bye Bye Birdie at Olney Theatre Center.  Featured as Susannah is Felicia Curry, who has done the national tours of Barbie Live! as Topaz, and has received two Helen Hayes nominations for her work locally in Aida and Godspell.   Gary Hiel, who will perform the role of Teddy Roosevelt, has sung numerous times with the Baltimore Symphony Orchesta, done the national tour of The Wake, and sung regionally in such shows as Blood Brothers, Forever Plaid and Jaques Brel.  Rounding out the cast is Shannon Wollman as Emma.  Wollman has appeared in several roles with the Maryland Arts Festival including Billie Dawn in Born Yesterday, Eva Peron in Evita, Oolie in City of Angels and Rizzo in Grease, as well as performing at Toby's Dinner Theatre, Theatre Hopkins and as a soloist with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

The production team includes Daniel Ettinger – set design, Lynn Joslin – lighting design, Denise Umland – Costume Design, Cambra Overend – Production Stage Manager, Dre Suchoski – Props Design, Aaron Broderick – Assistant Musical Director, BettyAnn Leeseberg-Lange – Voice and Dialect Coach, Lisa A Wilde - Dramaturgy and Steven Fleming – Assistant to the Stage Manager.
