We're baa-aack! After a yearlong hiatus to overhaul the company, Molotov Theatre Group, DC's only horror- and suspense-related theatre, is bringing its singularly twisted vision to "Extremities," by William Mastrosimone. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, tonight, October 10-November 3 at 7:30 PM at the DC Arts Center, 2438 18th St, NW, Washington, DC 20009. Tickets are $25 ($60 for a three-show season pass), and are available through the Molotov web site (www.molotovtheatre.org). Press night is Sunday, October 13.

Directed by Molotov Co-Artistic Director Michael P. Wright ("The Extermination Machine"), "Extremities" features Alex Zavistovich (HBO's "The Wire," Studio Theatre's "Rock and Roll"), Sherry Berg (Studio Theatre's "The Rocky Horror Show"), Jennifer Osborn (Netflix's "House Of Cards") and special guest star, Alexia Poe.

"Extremities" is a searing play about the aftermath of an attempted rape and its repercussions as the victim turns the tables on her attacker. This intense psychological drama from Molotov Theatre Group raises difficult questions about acts of violence and the justifiable rage they inspire.

"We've really jumped into the deep end with this first effort from the new and improved Molotov Theatre Group," said Molotov's Michael P. Wright. "We're using almost every part of the theatre space - including the audience - to draw people into the play's claustrophobic world. It's unsettling and very real. You won't believe some of the effects happening right before your eyes."

A WARNING FOR AUDIENCE MEMBERS: "Extremities" contains adult language and extremely graphic depictions of sexual coercion and other brutality. May not be suitable for those under 13.

Founded in 2007, the 501(c)3 non-profit Molotov Theatre Group is dedicated to education, preservation and exploration in the aesthetic of the Grand Guignol, or French Theater of Horror.

Molotov Theatre Group applies the Grand Guignol ideals to contemporary and classic works. They also produce English translations of original Grand Guignol scripts to preserve and draw attention to this important, and essentially forgotten genre. The Molotov Literacy Project uses ebook and audiobook pairings of horror literature classics to improve adult literacy.
