Ballet Across America returned to the Kennedy Center for the first time since 2013 as part of JFKC: A Centennial Celebration of John F. Kennedy. After opening Monday night, two programs curated and selected by Misty Copeland and Justin Peck will grace the Opera House Stage this Wednesday through Sunday.

Performing this week will be the Nashville Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, The Black Iris Project, L.A. Dance Project, Kyle Abraham/Abraham.In.Motion and The Joffrey Ballet.

Opening night was hosted by New York City Ballet's Sara Mearns and featured two world premiere commissions - one an Ezra Hurwitz film and the other dance work titled Garden of Dreams, performed students from the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of the American Ballet Theatre.
