Set in Edwardian London, My Fair Lady tells of the transformation of Eliza Doolittle, a dirty, defensive and insecure cockney flower seller. On a cold March night she meets Professor Henry Higgins, a conceited, misogynistic phonetician who is so appalled by Eliza's speech that he offers to tutor her. The suggestion garners the attention of a gentleman bystander, Colonel Pickering, who makes a wager with Higgins the he won't be able to transform Eliza to the point of convincing society that she is a proper lady.

The process becomes frustrating for both Eliza and Higgins, but it produces results neither could have anticipated.

Kimberly Doreen Burns is making her Beef & Boards debut as Eliza Doolittle - her third time in the role which has earned her a Broadway World Award for Best Actress. David Schmittou (previously seen at Beef & Boards as The Man in the Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone, and Captain Georg von Trapp in The Sound of Music) plays the role of Professor Henry Higgins. Mark Goetzinger (Arvide Abernathy, Guys and Dolls; Lazar Wolf, Fiddler on the Roof) plays Colonel Pickering, and Eddie Curry (Nathan Detroit, Guys and Dolls; Gomez Addams, The Addams Family) plays Alfred Doolittle, Eliza's father.
