ColeBeanBay Theatre Company Presents 'Fiddler on the Roof'
ColeBeanBay Theatre Company, Sainte Genevieve's very own professional theatre and the only professional theatre in Southeast Missouri, is just days away from opening their final show of their second sensational season, "Fiddler on the Roof" starring Farmington's own, Kevin Marler as Tevye is coming to the Orris Theatre in downtown Sainte Genevieve, July 17th-August 3rd. This delightful family classic was the show that was selected by the audiences last year during the "Audience Ballot" that took place during the company's highly acclaimed production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The group announced the winning show at the final performance last year and immediately began the work necessary to bring such a big show to the Orris Theatre,which is located at 265 Merchant Street in downtown Sainte Genevieve.
The cast boasts 37 performers of all ages and is comprised of over 20 professional actors that have been brought in from all over the United States, with the remainder of the cast being made up of talented local performers, eager to have their shot at performing in a professionally produced musical. The thrill for some of these talented individuals is the idea of knowing that they have a professional theatre that they are able to partake in right in their backyard. ColeBeanBay proudly operates under a small professional theatre agreement (SPT) with Actors Equity, the union for actors and stage managers.
