2016 marks the start of our two-year 80th-anniversary celebration and we're excited to share a summer of Broadway blockbusters, Vermont premieres, and groundbreaking partnerships with you.

LAUNCH EVENT

Save the Date - June 18 - for a community-wide Birthday Bash! We're celebrating our 80th season and our friends at The Vermont Country Store are celebrating their 70th. Together, we're co-sponsoring an event to kick off the summer with a parade and CAKE - in honor of all of the businesses and organizations that make Weston unique! Come for the Parade, come for cake and ice cream, and enjoy live music and entertainment on the Village green. Join the scavenger hunt, sample food and drink from local chefs and makers, and stay for an evening Playhouse Party performance. We're going to have so much fun!

MAIN STAGE PERFORMANCES

This year, the MainStage opens with one of Broadway's most epic and enduring musical adventures, Man of La Mancha. Based on The Adventures of Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes and directed by Weston's Malcolm Ewen, the five-time Tony Award Winner will have you dreaming "The Impossible Dream" as a hero battles and chivalry is restored. June 28 through July 16.

Next, in an historic collaboration with Vermont's Dorset Theatre Festival and Northern Stage, Weston will produce Round and Round the Garden, the third play in Alan Ayckbourn's celebrated comic trilogy, The Norman Conquests. The three companies will share a cast and creative team, encouraging audiences to follow the exploits from theatre to theatre to uncover the secrets of a summer weekend in the English countryside. Michael Berresse (Broadway's [title of show]) directs the Weston production, running July 21 through 30.

In August, Weston brings one of Broadway's longest running shows to Vermont for the first time ever! Based on the songs of ABBA, Mamma Mia! is the ultimate feel-good musical, and one you'll have to see over and again. Director Tim Fort (42nd Street, Les Miserables) reunites with choreographer Michael Raine (Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line) to deliver this blockbuster from August 4 through 20.

Celebrate Arthur Miller's 100th birthday with All My Sons, the second production in the Company's five-year American Masters series. Award-winning director Mary B. Robinson (Weston's Copenhagen) will be at the helm of this Tony-winning play, produced in partnership with the Flynn Center in Burlington. August 25 through September 4.

PERFORMANCES ON OUR OTHERSTAGES

Schoolhouse Rock Live! launches OtherStages this year. Starring Weston's Young Company - a troupe of up and coming actors hand-picked from the country's top undergraduate musical theatre programs - the Emmy Award-winning cartoon series has inspired a stage production brimming with infectious energy and classic sing-a-long numbers. A blast for the entire family! June 24 through July 10.

Pulitzer-prize nominee Dael Orlandersmith returns to Weston with another one-woman tour de force. In 2014, you saw her in Stoop Stories. This summer, she brings you Forever, a celebrated and provocative new work that has critics from coast to coast singing her praises as a sublime storyteller for the modern stage. July 14 through 31. Mature Content.

Then, fresh from its extended Off-Broadway run, Murder for Two will close the summer season. The popular musical comedy is a Joseph Jefferson award-winner for best new musical in Chicago, and has two actors playing 13 roles and two pianos in a madcap whodunit that will have you in stitches from start to finish. August 11 through September 4.

New subscriptions and single tickets for Summer 2016 will be available beginning April 1. Book online or with the box office at (802) 824-5288. We can't wait to see you at the theatre!
