Just in time for the holidays, Town Hall Theater will broadcast The Vatican Museums today, December 14 at 2:00 pm. The film takes viewers on a journey through the museums' awe-inspiring works of art.

The Vatican Museums is a mega-production by a team of 40 professionals who traveled hundreds of miles within the Vatican while filming some of the rarest and most precious works of art in the world, including the outstanding artistry of classic statues, paintings and frescoes by Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Van Gogh, Chagall and Dali, and of course the masterwork that is Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel.

Theater audiences will experience the journey under the artful guidance of Director of the Vatican Museums, Antonio Paolucci.

"I can't think of a better event for the Christmas season," says THT executive director Douglas Anderson. "Beautiful art that reflects centuries of faith and passion, filmed in a heart-stopping way that is, in a way, better than being there."

The Vatican Museums will be broadcast at Middlebury's Town Hall Theater on Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $15, and may be purchased at www.townhalltheater.org , 802-382-9222, at the THT Box Office (Mon-Sat, Noon-5 pm) and at the door.
