Josh Panda is no stranger to Town Hall Theater. Back in February, he was an instructor at THT's "Rock-It Science" music camp, where he taught young musicians the art of rock-n-roll. He has performed as a guest of The Grift. But for the first time, he will head-line as Town Hall Theater plays host to Josh Panda and the Hot Damned. "We've been wanting to snag Josh and his band for a long time. We're thrilled that he's playing Town Hall Theater," said executive director Doug Anderson.

Born in North Carolina, Josh Panda spent the first 14 years of his life following in the footsteps of his gospel singing mother. He was raised in a Southern Baptist church community where feelings were not held back. The music, the sermon, the life was all about giving into the moment. Now at age 29, having amicably left the church and the south behind him, Panda continues to weave the organic and vulnerable influence of his Carolina roots into his music. It's rock and roll performed as it was intended; raw, emotional and unrestrained. One Middlebury fan said, "He breaks through the wall between the singer and the audience," evoking a feeling of unity, as the crowd feels they are reaching for that note with him.

"Josh Panda opens his mouth and it makes you say "what the f*#%!!!!" He's a powerhouse of a singer, and a frontman with a unique sensibility and a laid back vibe. Old school but hip as hell." - The Infamous Stringdusters.

Josh Panda and the Hot Damned perform at THT tonight, April 25 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $17 and may be purchased at www.townhalltheater.org, 802-382-9222, at the THT Box Office (Mon-Sat, noon-5 pm) and at the door.
