This July, Turtle Key Arts will be bringing back their incredible project Musical Portraits in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery from Monday 24th - Thursday 27th July 2017.

Aimed at children aged 10-14 years old who have autism spectrum conditions, Musical Portraits uses the portraits within the National Portrait Gallery as a stimulus to create their own music- working with an artist from the National Portrait Gallery and The Ignite Ensemble of Musicians from Wigmore Hall Learning.

This free project encourages participants to engage with their existing artistic and musical interests, providing access to renowned paintings and high quality music making with professional musicians. It also provides an opportunity to make social connections with other young people with similar interests. This allows the young people to gain skills in creativity, concentration and focus, social imagination and communication.
