With a reputation for showcasing the very best artists and companies working in the discipline from around the country and beyond, today The Point announces its autumn programme of dance. From contemporary hip hop to family ballet and thought-provoking productions from acclaimed companies, the venue's new season presents an array of unmissable events.

Beginning the season is Stopgap Dance Company & London Contemporary Orchestra with Incantatio. This thrilling fusion of integrated dance with live music is the first in a new work-in-progress series at the venue and will be presented in The Point's intimate setting of the Creation Space on 12th October.

Avant Garde Dance and The Place present Fagin's Twist on 20th and 21st October. Based on the notorious Oliver character, the production is a poignant coming-of-age tale told through hip hop dance. This familiar but untold story is great entertainment for everyone aged 8 and up.

Let's All Dance presents The Owl & The Pussycat on 25th and 26th October. This family-friendly ballet production - suitable for children aged 2-11 years old - is touring for the second year in a row following sold-out shows and critical acclaim in 2016. Audience members are invited to take advantage of a special family ticket offer of four for £24 or five for £28. After each showing the company will lead a 30-minute ballet workshop for children priced at just £3.

Luca Silvestrini's acclaimed Protein Dance returns to the venue on 2nd November with Border Tales. This acclaimed piece explores a multi-cultural Britain through dance, live music and dialogue, acknowledging the changing landscape of a post-Brexit UK. Before the performance Katie Dale-Everett presents Digital Tattoo in the on-site Creation Space. Free to bookers of Border Tales, Digital Tattoo is a unique blend of contemporary dance and technology that studies our online identity.

The Point is dedicated to supporting the next generation, this season presenting Luke Brown's Pitch. on 17th October (an evening of dance featuring five hand-picked emerging artists), and The Point Dance Showcase on 6th December, which will see all of the venue's companies present original choreographed works.
