Today The Berry Theatre shares its busy programme of family work, set to bring to life the venue's stage this autumn.

With an eclectic mix of touring theatre productions for children and their families, the venue has selected enchanting productions which promise to entertain older children while serving as a great introduction to the arts for the very young.

The Berry Theatre's autumn season begins with the return of popular interactive storytelling series Saturday Storytime on October 3rd, with following dates on 11th November and 2nd December. As always, tickets are priced at just £3 for both adults and children, and the whole family is invited up on stage to participate in interactive story time with musical storytellers Kate the Hedgehog and Craig the Fox in a series developed to inspire children's imaginations.

The venue plays host to some of the country's best family productions this October and November, presenting Little Angel Theatre's delightful Me... (21st), The Berry Theatre Associate Artists' Stuff and Nonsense's The Enormous Turnip (26th), Tall Stories' wintery tale The Snow Dragon (28th) and with a unique sensory experience made for all, Half Moon presents Leaf on Saturday 4th November. All family theatre tickets are £8 for adults, £6 for children and the venue offers a special family ticket offer of four for £24 or five for £28.

Blackeyed Theatre return this autumn with another exciting gothic adaptation in association with South Hill Park on Friday 10th November. The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde has been adapted for the stage by Nick Lane and is heralded as "A finely-crafted adaptation that will keep you fastened to your seat" (British Theatre Guide). Suitable for those aged 11 and up, tickets are £12 with £10 concessions.

The Berry Youth Theatre presents What is the sky made of? on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November in a new piece of writing inspired by the inquisitive questions children often ask.

Feel festive with Santa's Little Trolls, running at The Berry Theatre Thursday 14th to Sunday 31st December. Pickled Image presents a witty twist on a festive tale, filled to the brim with humour, warmth and brilliant puppetry. Join the Hedge End venue this Christmas for a slice of silliness, priced at just £11.
