Smith, Black, Boht & More Set For 3rd CALENDAR GIRLS Tour Cast, Opens July 27

The enormously successful, now international, tour of "CALENDAR GIRLS", currently booking through July, will then continue with a third cast who will open in the Welsh capital on 27 July.

Elaine C Smith (best known for playing Rab C Nesbitt's wife and one of the originAl West End cast) will this time play ‘Chris - Miss October'. Denise Black (a stage veteran and regular on "Coronation Street") will play ‘Cora - Miss July'. Jean Boht (star of many West End and regional stage productions and ‘Nellie Boswell' in the hugely successful BBC television series "Bread") will play ‘Jessie - Miss January'. Jennifer Ellison (best known as ‘Emily Shadwick' in "Brookside" and famously ‘Roxie Hart' in "Chicago", both in London and on a sell-out tour) will play ‘Celia - Miss September'. Julia Hills (‘Ruth' in the original production of "CALENDAR GIRLS", both in Chichester and in the West End) will play ‘Annie - Miss February'. Rachel Lumberg (who received rave reviews in her most recent stage appearance in "The Rise and Fall of Little Voice" in the West End) will play ‘Ruth - Miss November'. Ruth Madoc (star of many West End musicals including "Man of La Mancha" and nationally known as ‘Gladys Pugh' in "Hi-De-Hi!") will play ‘Marie'. Joe McGann (the McGann brother who starred in "The Upper Hand") will play ‘John' and Bruno Langley (a regular in "Coronation Street" and ‘Adam Mitchell' in "Doctor Who") will play photographer ‘Lawrence'.

This cast will open on 27 July at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, where they will play until 7 August and where Margaret John (‘The Kinky Granny' in the film "A Bit Of Tom Jones" and a household name for her ‘Doris' in "Gavin and Stacey") will play ‘Lady Cravenshire'. The tour will then visit Venue Cymru Llandudno (9 - 14 August), the Theatre Royal Glasgow (16 - 28 August), His Majesty's Theatre Aberdeen (30 August - 4 September), the Eden Court Theatre Inverness (6 - 11 September), the King's Theatre Edinburgh (13 - 25 September) and the Liverpool Empire (27 September - 2 October).
