Much loved and irrepressible, Sue Perkins visits the Lyceum Theatre on Tuesday 6 September for an evening packed full of sparkling wit and the very best bits from her hilarious best-selling memoir Spectacles.

Best known for being one half of double act Mel and Sue, together, the pair have bounced, shouted and gurned their way through countless hours of television, most memorably Light Lunch, its later counterpart, Late Lunch and the award-winning Great British Bake Off.

Over the years, Sue has worked on a wide range of solo projects, including documentaries on art, popular fiction and history. In 2008 she appeared on the BBC show Maestro, culminating in her conducting at The Last Night of the Proms. She has also collaborated with food-critic Giles Coren on the Supersizers series, where the duo power-ate their way through five centuries of lungs, livers and other less favourable body parts.

In the last couple of years, Sue has travelled extensively throughout Asia, driving the Ho Chi Minh trail, exploring the length of the Mekong River and getting felt up by a Cambodian hermit. She is a regular contributor to Have I Got News For You, Just a Minute, Qi and The News Quiz and has been crowned, officially, The World's Greatest Liar in a hard fought contest in Cumbria. Sue also presents the quirky panel show Insert Name Here about famous people who share the same moniker.

Each ticket will include a copy of Sue's new book Spectacles (published in paperback on 28 July) and Sue will be signing copies after each show.

Sue Perkins Live! in Spectacles is at the Lyceum Theatre on Tuesday 6 September. Tickets are priced £25.00, and can be purchased by calling the Box Office on 0114 249 6000 or by visiting sheffieldtheatres.co.uk (a transaction fee of £1.50 (£1.00 online) applies to all bookings made at the Box Office, excluding cash).
