Starring one of Britain's best loved comedians, Joe Pasquale, and award-winning star of stage and screen, Robert Powell, Doctor in the House follows the comic misadventures of an inexperienced young medical student, Simon Sparrow, at the beginning of a five-year internship at St. Swithin's Teaching Hospital. Check out two photos of the cast in action here, ahead of the May 8 opening night. The show runs until May 12.

Continually running afoul of the irascible head surgeon Sir Lancelot Spratt, Sparrow's social life is spiced up when he is taken under the wings of two student repeaters in the form of Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans to farcical consequences.

Based on the semi-autobiographical novel by Richard Gordon, later made into a film starring Dirk Bogarde, Doctor in the House has delighted audiences for generations and comes to Sheffield to entertain once more in this new production by award-winning director Ian Talbot

Tickets can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres' Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk and are priced from £13.00 - £25.00, with discounts available.
