The Lounge, the hit Edinburgh show from internationally acclaimed theatre company Inspector Sands, is currently running in the main house at Soho Theatre until 20th May. BroadwayWorld has photos of the new cast onstage below!

Set in a care home somewhere off the A1, The Lounge is a slow motion farce telling the story of the new resident, 97 year old Marsha Hewitt, and a young man who's trying to find his grandad so he can give him his birthday present - and neither of them want to be there. In a funny and absurdist tale of the two, the residents and carers, radiators burn and Jeremy Kyle blares, a battle for the TV remote could turn murderous and unlikely alliances are formed over banana custard. From funny to moving, the show asks us to consider what happens to our older generations, and what will happen when we become older ourselves.

Inspector Sands is a multi-award winning, UK based theatre company founded in 2005 the joint artistic directors are Giulia Innocenti, Lucinka Eisler and Ben Lewis. Thecompany's previous two Edinburgh shows, Hysteria (Total Theatre Award) and If That's All There Is (Edinburgh International Festival Fringe Award) have toured nationally and internationally to critical acclaim. The Lounge premiered to great acclaim at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe last year.
