Northern Ballet returns to the Lyceum Theatre this month with the ultimate rags to riches fairytale, Cinderella, from Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 November.

Set in Imperial Russia at a time when superstitious people believe in the possibility of magic, David Nixon's new adaptation of the classic fairytale sees heartbreak turn to joy as the unstoppable power of young love conquers all.

Cinderella's life is turned upside down following the death of her father. Subject to the coldness and cruelty of her step mother, and kept as a servant by her family, Cinderella's life is transformed once again following a magical encounter in a market place. As romance blossoms, can Prince Charming see beyond the servant girl and fall in love with the real Cinderella?

With a new score by Philip Feeney played live by Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Duncan Hayler's (Beauty & the Beast, A Midsummer Night's Dream) fantastical Russian-inspired set designs, beautiful dancing, magic and circus skills, audiences will not want to miss this unforgettable ballet.

Cinderella visits the Lyceum Theatre from Tuesday 25 - Saturday 29 November. Tickets are on sale now, priced from £12.00 - £37.00 and can be purchased in person at Sheffield Theatres' Box Office, by calling 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk. A transaction fee of £1.50 (£1.00 online) applies to all bookings made at the Box Office, excluding cash.
