Manchester's Biggest Indoor Christmas Attraction Is Back With Rainbow Stars In 2017

Winner of the Best Family Day Out at the Raring 2 Go Awards 2015, the festive family favourite event is back for its fifth consecutive year, fresh off the back of a record breaking 2016 which saw a huge increase in box office ticket sales reaching a whopping 100,000!
The fabulous festive event will return to Manchester from Saturday 9th December 2017 to Monday 1st January 2018 at EventCity next to the Intu Trafford Centre.
Organisers pulled out all the stops last year to create an extra special festive extravaganza and are now aiming to make this year's event even bigger and better than ever. And with Zippy and George on their way to Manchester, this year's Winter Wonderland looks set to be the very best yet!
The mammoth 22,000sqm exhibition space at EventCity will be transformed in to an unbelievable wonderland extravaganza, featuring over 50 family rides and attractions all under one roof - including new rides for 2016, and all included in one ticket price.
As well as the rides and the bright lights, there will be a dazzling array of colourful shows and this year, Winter Wonderland is delighted to welcome the nation's favourite children's TV characters Zippy and George from Rainbow who will no doubt bring lots of magic, mayhem and comedy capers!
Rainbow dominated the nation's television sets for 20 years and continued to capture hearts long after its final episode screened. Families and children who fell in love with show's famous characters will have the chance to meet Zippy and George when they roll into Manchester this winter for the Christmas spectacular with their comedy capers.

George: "Jingle bells, jingle bell jingle all the way..."
Zippy: "You seem very happy George, what's going on?"
George: "This year we're off to the UK's largest indoor Christmas theme park."
Zippy: "What, really?!"
George: "Oooow yes, the winter wonderland at Event City and you can even meet Santa Clause!"
Zippy: "Fantasticola. I can tell him one of my jokes."
George: "Err, I'm not sure that's a good idea, Zippy!"
Zippy: "Right, here it is. What do you get if you cross Father Christmas with a duck? A Christmas Quacker, ha ha ha!"
George: "Oh dear. I do hope they let us in!"
The spectacular Christmas Circus also makes a welcome return delivering the finest collection of circus acts that will leave everyone marvelled and amazed with daily performances.
Of course, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a visit from Santa Claus complete with real reindeers, who will be taking time out of his busy schedule for meet and greets with all the children, every day up to and including Christmas Eve. Fairies and Elves will also fly around to play and chat and have 's-elfies' with the children.
There will also be a whole host of games stalls and a vast array of food and drinks stalls to purchase refreshments including hot snacks and sweet treats.
Winter Wonderland operates on a session basis to ensure visitors can enjoy the experience without overcrowding offering families four hours of non-stop fun and entertainment.
