Producers Arlene Phillips and Adam Spiegel have announced that box offices in London and around the country have been bombarded with requests for tickets to see Strictly's Vincent and Flavia in their own show, MIDNIGHT TANGO, and sales have now reached £2 million for the limited season West End run and the nationwide tour for 2012. "For a first-time producer, having a show opening in the West End is a dream, but having a show starring Vincent and Flavia, a phenomenal company of dancers and ticket sales through the roof is more than I could ever have hoped for," exclaims Arlene.

The 10-week season in the West End will open at the Aldwych Theatre on 20 January 2012, ending on 31 March. The tour begins on Tuesday 10 April at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle upon Tyne and will continue until Saturday 21 July at Her Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen. Vincent and Flavia are "delighted that Midnight Tango has been so well received in the West End, and we are both looking forward to performing at the Aldwych Theatre for 10 weeks, before the next UK tour."

MIDNIGHT TANGO is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires, and the show brings to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of the tango. Former World Champions, Vincent and Flavia, are joined on stage by some of the finest tango dancers in the world, including Diomar Giraldo, Yaisuri Salamanca, Alexandra Wood, Guillermo Torrens, Jenny Nolan, Daniel Raphael, Richard Manuel, Pauline Reibell and Leandro Palou & Romina Godoy, and actors Teddy Kempner and Tricia Deighton. In the show, the audience is taken on a journey into the heart of this intoxicating city, as danger and excitement, joy and jealousy, pain and passion combine into a spectacular and explosive evening.

MIDNIGHT TANGO is directed by Olivier Award-winning choreographer Karen Bruce, who has choreographed for both Strictly Come Dancing and So You Think You Can Dance on BBC 1, and whose theatre credits include Pacific Overtures (Donmar Warehouse) and Footloose (West End and UK Tour). Choreography is by Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace, design by Morgan Large, lighting by James Whiteside and sound by Gareth Owen. The live music is provided by top tango band, Tango Siempre, featuring vocalist Miguel Angel.

MIDNIGHT TANGO is produced in London and on tour by Arlene Phillips and Adam Spiegel.
