New York City Bistro Award winner, Michael Hughes, brings his internationally acclaimed, Canadian Comedy Award nominated one-man show, Mickey & Judy to the London Fringe Festival (June 2 -11). Mickey & Judy is a hilarious musical-memoir, chronicling Hughes' childhood obsession with musicals and his journey from psychiatric ward to Broadway.

Chockfull of comical anecdotes about a childhood spent dressing up and channeling Judy Garland, dramatic readings from his psychologist's notes, and a musical score that borrows from Broadway classics and the Judy Garland songbook, Mickey & Judy is about learning to accept who you are and following your dreams.

Mickey & Judy debuted at the Toronto Fringe Festival where it was named "Best of Fringe" (Broadway World Toronto, My Theatre Award, and Canadian Comedy Award nominations). The following year, the show toured to Edinburgh, London and New York City, along the way receiving five-star reviews, multiple award nominations (Broadway World New York, MTM: UK Awards), and the New York City Bistro Award for Outstanding Debut. Mickey & Judy has been named "Critic's Pick" by the Toronto Star, Time Out New York, NOW Magazine, SG Fringe Magazine, GT Magazine and FAB Magazine.

Michael Hughes is a sought-after concert and cabaret performer. He was a featured guest of 16-time Grammy Award winner, David Foster on his sold-out David Foster & Friends concert tour. He has performed in musicals across Canada and will return to the Thousand Islands Playhouse this summer to play Rapunzel's Prince in Into The Woods.

Musical Director and London resident, Marque Smith, has previously worked with Musical Theatre Productions, Pacheco Theatre, and Original Kids Theatre Company. He also serves as musical director of London's The Broadway Singers.
