This Christmas, the Lyric Hammersmith brings one of the most enchanting of all stories to life as Olivier Award-winning Artistic Director Sean Holmes directs his first ever pantomime: Cinderella. Joining the cast alongside West End stars Julie Atherton (Avenue Q, Noel Coward; Sister Act, UK tour) and Steven Webb (Oliver!, London Palladium; The History Boys, Wyndham's) will be celebrated actress, comedian and broadcaster Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake-Off, BBC; Eurobeat, West End/UK tour).

When word reaches Tumbledown Castle that the Prince will be holding a New Year's Eve 'Pick A Princess Ball' at Hammersmith Palais, Ms Hardup and her daughters dress to impress; but with the Ugly Sisters' mess to clean up and nothing but rags to wear, will poor Cinderella get to go to the ball and meet her Prince?

Returning to the Lyric for their second Christmas following popular appearances in 2011's Aladdin are Sophia Nomvete (Ragtime, Regent's Park Open Air Theatre; England People Very Nice, National Theatre) and Hammed Animashaun (Mogadishu, Lyric Hammersmith/Manchester Royal Exchange; Twenty8K, Formosa Films), and completing the cast are David Ganly (The Wizard of Oz, London Palladium; The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Young Vic) and William Ellis (Parade's End, BBC; Great Expectations, Number 9 Films).
