In addition to Lazarus Theatre Company's already announced productions of The Tragedy of Mariam at The Tristan Bates and The Merchant of Venice at the Jack Stuido, Brockley, award winning company returns to the Blue Elephant Theatre for Thomas Kyd's revenge tragedy, The Spanish Tragedy, adapted and directed by Ricky Dukes.

Returning to his homeland after being bitterly murdered in war, a haunted spirit seeks revenge on those who brought about his death. His lust and desire for the truth leads to one of the bloodiest plays ever written, The Spanish Tragedy.

This outstanding masterpiece and landmark of Elizabethan drama, through the use of text, movement and music, comes to the stage in this all new ensemble production. Kyd's triumphant thriller inspired many great works of the period including Marlowe's Dr Faustus, Webster's The Duchess of Malfi and Shakespeare's Hamlet.

The show will run 24th September - 19th October, Tue - Sat at 8pm at the Blue Elephant Theatre, Camberwell, London.. Tickets: £15.00, £10 (Concessions). To book: www.blueelephantthheatre.co.uk or call 0207 7010 100. Press and opening night: 26th September 2013.
