This year, West London's premiere pantomime destination stages a giant of a show as multi-award-winning playwright Tom Wells (The Kitchen Sink, Jumpers for Goalposts) gives his adventurous take on a classic tale in JACK AND THE BEANSTALK at the Lyric Hammersmith. Audiences will again be in the safe hands of Lyric pantomime favourite Steven Webb (the Lyric's Cinderella, Aladdin and Dick Whittington and His Cat) as Jack's best friend Sprout, while joining the fun this year is the brilliant Howard Ward (War Horse, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) who makes his pantomime debut as Jack's mother Moreen Dripp.

Combining magic beans, an evil giant, a journey to a kingdom in the clouds with a splash of zumba, Jack and the Beanstalk promises to be a seriously big treat for all the family this Christmas time.

Musical theatre star Nigel Richards (Phantom of the Opera, LES MISERABLES) takes the role of baddie Mr Fleshcreep, and in a unique Lyric twist, talented newcomer Rochelle Rose (One Monkey Don't Stop No Show) takes the role of Jack while Joshua Tonks (The Sound of Music) plays Jill. Following young ensemble performances in previous Lyric shows Cinderella and Desire Under the Elms, talented actor and dancer Hannah Scarlett will play Caroline the Cow. Forming the young ensemble for 2013 are Emily Aitcheson, Bolaji Alakija, Seraphina Beh, Joe Black, Krystal Dockery, Elinor Machen-Fortune, Kaysha Woollery and Sarah Yesufu.

The show will run today 23 November 2013 - Saturday 04 January 2014. Times: Evenings 6pm & 7pm / Matinees 10am, 11am, 1.30pm, 2pm & 3pm.
