Le Geek, C'est Chic! Helen Arney, comedian, songwriter and notable nerd songstress brings her brand new hit 2012 Edinburgh Fringe show VOICE OF AN ANGLE to the Soho Theatre. Helen's unique ability to turn complex ideas into beautiful, comedy songs has lead to her performing sell out shows in the hugely successful "Uncaged Monkeys" tour alongside some of the nation's favourite geeks, Professor Brian Cox, Robin Ince, Ben Goldacre, Simon Singh and Tim Minchin. Helen is a rising star of the comedy universe and is set to be the most successful nerd-ette orbiting the sun in 2012. Her accolades include being in Dave Tv's Top Ten Stand-ups To See in 2011, the winner of Best Individual Comedy Show 2012 (Buxton Fringe), and Amused Moose Laughter Award Semi-Finalist 2012.

With her musical comedy focussing on the human side of science, this is Helen's show for the sci-curious and it celebrates all things geek. Prepare for new twisted tales of cryogenically frozen lovers, the real story behind Schrodingers cat, biologically accurate R&B and unrequited love at the laboratory Christmas party in a show that you might call "magical" but probably won't because that would be too irrational.

As "Uncaged Monkeys" has proved, Science Comedy is on the rise (some even say it's the new Rock 'n Roll) and Helen Arney is well and truly standing centre stage. The physics graduate turned comedienne has become one of the most sought after acts in the past year: in addition to her solo career she is also 1/3 of the science comedy phenomenon "Festival Of The Spoken Nerd" which regularly sells out and will embark on their first tour throughout the UK later this year. As well as appearing on science podcasts and at national science festivals, Helen can regularly be heard on BBC Radio 4 on programmes including Infinite Monkey Cage and her original songs are played on BBC 6musiC. Later this year you can see her on your TV screens in a new program for Channel 4 and Discovery, looking at the funny side of science on the internet.

VOICE OF AN ANGLE will take place at the Soho Theatre, 21 Dean Street, London, W1D 3NE. Performance dates are on September 26th and 27th at 21.00. The Box office can be reached at 020 7478 0100 or www.sohotheatre.com
