THE MARLOWE Studio finishes its current season with an eclectic mix of shows.

Dynamic musical quartet Gypsy Fire will perform tracks from their latest album on Friday 22 November.

Encompassing many different musical genres, the quartet features the acoustic guitars of Stuart Carter-Smith and Will Barns plus award-winning jazz violinist Ben Holder and double bassist Paul Jefferies. Individually they are acclaimed soloists, together they are simply breathtaking.

University of Kent's T24 Drama Society will present Alan Bennett's The History Boys on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 November (limited ticket availability).

Bennett's most successful comedy tells the story of an unruly but bright class of teenage boys aspiring for Oxbridge. With battling pursuits of sex, sport and a college degree in Thatcher-era England - their journey is one of camaraderie and humour.

Comedian Roisin Conaty will perform her stand-up show Lifehunter on Sunday 8 December. The Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner is best known for her work on BBC3's Impractical Jokers and Channel 4's sitcom Man Down.

The Marlowe Studio's last theatre show of the season will be Fagin's Last Hour on Thursday 12 December.

Award-winning performer James Hyland re-imagines Oliver Twist in this powerful one-man show. Told from the point of view of Fagin the Miser, one hour before his execution, the unique and powerful one-man show offers a fresh insight into literature's most controversial villain. Recommended for ages 12 and over.
