Following his award-winning run at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival, Gerard Logan (Olivier Award Nominee – RSC) will bring his electrifying, internationally-acclaimed solo presentation of THE RAPE OF LUCRECE, Shakespeare's brutal narrative poem about the dreadful crime of rape and its aftershock, to the Tabard Theatre. This is a unique opportunity to see the first ever solo presentation of Shakespeare's great poem, in a performance that matches the brilliance of this thrilling text. The show is directed by Gareth Armstrong with an original score by Simon Slater.

THE RAPE OF LUCRECE has played to packed houses throughout the UK (including sell-out runs this year at Bath Theatre Royal, Oxford Playhouse, Salisbury Playhouse and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough), and abroad. Most recently, THE RAPE OF LUCRECE won the Stage newspaper's award for "Best Solo Show of the 2011 Edinburgh Festival". Sir Trevor Nunn, who saw the show during one of its London runs at the Rose Theatre Kingston, described it as "Sensational".

The presentation is at the Tabard Theatre (2 Bath Road, London W4 1LW) on Friday January 20 and 21 at 7:30pm. Tickets are £10/£8 concessions, and can be booked now online or by phone: www.tabardtheatre.co.uk, call 0208 995 6035 or in person at the Tabard Theatre.

The show is directed by Gareth Armstrong, who has developed and directed many successful solo shows, including his own award-winning Shylock.
