Television presenter Gail Porter will return to the stage in the uproariously funny new comedy, 69 SHADES OF BLACK. The show will begin a major national tour in Kilmarnock on Friday 10 April 2015 and then visit over 40 towns and cities around the country.

Sassy and saucy with a whip-crackingly riotous script, 69 SHADES OF BLACK is the perfect feel-good girl's night out.

Boring and vanilla; William Shight's most interesting trait has always been his snigger inducing name. Up until now that is!

Since landing his dream job at one of the country's top advertising agencies, things have taken a turn for the shocking. 'Christina Black', the company director, has taken a shine to 'William' and attempts to seduce him with an indecent proposal. Overwhelmed by the attention and without friends or family to turn to, he decides seek the advice of the only two men in his life he can trust, the hilariously argumentative Gabriel and Gideon...his conscience. William tries in vain to resist but in the end relents and signs a 69 page contract, the one Christina intends to use to make a man out of him.... The 20 pages of "don't" and 49 pages of "do whatever the hell I want" will lead William on the hilariously painful journey of a lifetime.

Gail Porter made her professional stage debut in 2009 in The Vagina Monologues at the Edinburgh Playhouse and has recently been focussing on a career as a stand-up comedian.

Porter said "I am delighted to be joining the tour of the new comedy 69 Shades of Black. I have turned down so many scripts over the years because they just didn't appeal to me. However, after reading 69 Shades of Black I knew that this play offered the perfect balance of comedy and drama that I had been looking for. I'm at a great place in my life and am really looking forward to starting rehearsals and embracing the new challenges the show will bring".

Gail Porter has presented numerous TV shows including Top of the Pops, The Movie Chart Show and Live & Kicking, The Big Breakfast and Gail Porter's Big 90s for VH1. More recently she has been a presenter on The Gadget Show and a regular panellist on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff.

In the late 1990s, she posed for FHM and the result of one photo session made the national news. Gail was photographed completely nude from behind and FHM subsequently beamed the image onto the exterior of the Houses of Parliament, with an accompanying message urging people to vote for Porter in the FHM Top 100 Sexiest Women Poll.

Porter's experience with alopecia totalis was the subject of the BBC ONE Life series documentary Gail Porter Laid Bare. She is an ambassador for the Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides wigs to children with hair loss. She is a vice-president of The Children's Trust, a UK charity for children with brain injury.

She recently took part in the Sport Relief Games in Glasgow. She is also working on a series of children's fictional novels.

Porter will head a cast of four. The show is directed by Michael Courtney with a script by Courtney, Chris Taylor and Fraser Boyle. The show is produced by Michael Courtney Productions.

Michael Courtney has produced and directed the UK tours of the critically acclaimed Mad About The Musicals, Waterloo, Shakin All Over, Its D'Lovely, A Night Of Musicals, over 30 UK Pantomimes and was nominated as the UK Producer of The Year by Encore Magazine. He is currently on tour in his show, Love Changes Everything.
