English Touring Theatre Welcomes Jeremy Woodhouse as Associate Producer

English Touring Theatre today announces that Jeremy Woodhouse joins the company as Associate Producer. He will be working alongside DirectorRachel Tackley, Executive Producer Jane Claire and Producer James Quaife. Woodhouse joins English Touring Theatre in February 2016 from Theatre 503 where he is currently Executive Director.

Jeremy Woodhouse said today, "I am thrilled to be joining Rachel and all at English Touring Theatre, they are renowned as makers of quality theatre and for being a joyful company to work with. I'm really excited by the programme, its variety is so interesting and I'm very much looking forward to working across the country, and with some great partners at this very inspiring time for British arts."

Rachel Tackley added, "I couldn't be more delighted that Jeremy is joining the team here at English Touring Theatre. These are exciting times for us with five tours planned for 2016 and several projects in development. His considerable skills and talent will be put to good use from the moment he steps through the door!"

Jeremy Woodhouse began his professional career at the Broadway Theatre in Barking after graduating from university in Edinburgh. He worked closely with the General Manager in the running of the venue, produced the in-house work and established the theatre's first new writing event 'Script This' which became a staple part of the organisation's programme. From here, he moved to become Programme Manager at Circus Space, before joining Theatre503 in 2011. During his time at Theatre 503 he developed the company's financial and business models to become more sustainable, and worked with the community partners and politicians to ensure the company remains a respected part of the community and a valued contributor to the local economy. During his tenue he oversaw 18 in house productions, two west end transfers, two national tours and numerous co-productions with venues and companies from across the globe. He also works as independently as a producer.

They currently have The Odyssey adapted for the stage by Simon Armitage touring the UK.
