English Touring Theatre & Stage One Announce New Apprenticeship

English Touring Theatre and Stage One, a charity dedicated to supporting the next generation of theatre producers, today announce a new scheme that will see an aspiring producer join English Touring Theatre for an 18 month apprenticeship. The successful candidate will work with the senior management and play an important role within English Touring Theatre's production and touring operation. Rachel Tackley, Artistic Director of English Touring Theatre, said today, "I'm thrilled that together Stage One and English Touring Theatre are investing in the next generation of exciting theatre producers. The next 18 months will be an immensely busy time for ETT; producing 3 world premieres and 4 major revivals. During their residency our apprentice will collaborate with some of the best theatres in the country and will produce work in London and across the UK. What's not to love?"

The apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity for Stage One to identify and support the most ambitious and promising producers by offering them hands-on training in all aspects of production within this dynamic organisation."

The apprentice producer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects including No. 1 Tours, the commissioning and workshopping of new plays, the development of commercial productions both for tour and the West End, along with the programming of future projects for ETT. It requires a person with the ability to pick up, switch between and respond quickly to rapidly changing priorities across all productions.
