Cast Announced for WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE at Finborough Theatre

In a new production commissioned by the Finborough Theatre and originally seen as a staged reading as part of Vibrant -- A Festival of Finborough Playwrights 2013, the world premiere of We Know Where You Live by Steven Hevey, the award-winning Playwright-on-Attachment at the Finborough Theatre, runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing nine Sunday and Monday evenings from Sunday, 2nd August 2015 (Press Night: Monday, 3rd August 2015 at 7.30pm).

In a city buckling under the weight of a severe housing crisis, Ben and Asma have discovered a borough of London they can finally call their home. However, with its earthy character and village feel, it isn't long before this hidden gem soon becomes the prime location for every other trendy urbanite in the city.

As they find themselves under siege from a brutal wave of gentrification, powerless to stop the many charms that had attracted them to the area from being erased, Ben and Asma reach out to the local community for support, but start to question whether or not the damage has already been done.

A timely and important play about the changing face of London.

Playwright Steven Hevey is a Playwright on Attachment at the Finborough Theatre. He is also under commission by Old Vic New Voices and was winner of OffWestEnd's Adopt a Playwright Award 2014. A recipient of several Peggy Ramsay Foundation awards and a graduate of the Royal Court and Soho Theatre Young Writers Programmes, he has worked extensively with Old Vic New Voices and Paines Plough. His plays include Short Plays by Steven Hevey (Soho Theatre), Pay As You Go (Cock Tavern Theatre) and In My Name (Old Red Lion and Trafalgar Studios 2). Steven's short plays have been performed at Shakespeare's Globe, Ovalhouse, Hampstead Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Bush Theatre, Old Vic Tunnels, Vineyard Theatre, New York City, and the Lyric Studio Hammersmith.

Director John Young is a former Resident Assistant Director at the Finborough Theatre where he assisted on Chicken Dust and Our American Cousin. Trained at the University of Chester, he received the Emerging Director Bursary from Clwyd Theatre Cymru and was Resident Director for Chester Micro Plays. Direction includes High Windows (Camden Peoples Theatre), Ten, Ten and Ten (Commercial Theatre), Scattered (Clwyd Theatr Cymru Theatre for Young People) Sticky Labels (Paupers Pit and Lantern Theatre) and a staged reading of An Incident at the Border (Clwyd Theatr Cymru). Assistant Direction includes assisting Tim Baker on Skyhawk the Musical (Wales and Ireland Tour).
