Thomas Kyd's THE SPANISH TRAGEDY, directed by Dan Hutton, opened 11 February and runs through 5th March 2016 at the Old Red Lion. A group of six actors takes on Kyd's revenge tragedy and bring a world of villainy, vengeance and warped justice to life.

The cast features Rebecca Crankshaw as Hieronimo, Lee Drage as Andrea, Janet Etuk as Lorenzo, Jamie Satterthwaite as Balthazar, India SemperHughes as BelImperia and Leo Wan as Revenge. All other roles will be taken by members of the company.

Dan Hutton said: "I'm thrilled to be working with such an exciting, talented cast. We're going to have a great time bringing Kyd's characters to life and I can't wait to put our own spin on this early modern classic."

How far would you go to get revenge? You'd unfriend them. You'd sell your story to the tabloids. You'd kill a man. Or men. In THE SPANISH TRAGEDY, Thomas Kyd shows us a place where people will use any any means necessary to get their own back. This bold new production takes the first revenge tragedy and turns it insideout, serving it up with a generous dollop of blood and a serving of sweet sweet justice. Hieronimo has lost her son, and there's only one way to settle the score. The world shouldn't be like this, but that's the way it is.

Directed by Dan Hutton, with design by Lizzy Leech, lighting by Nic Farman, sound by Kieran Lucas and dramaturgy by Ellie Horne.
