Families across Coventry and Warwickshire can look forward to a bumper programme of theatrical fun this Half Term at the Belgrade Theatre with the return of the theatre's ever popular May Camp. This will be followed by a visit from the hit touring shows, Pongo's Party and The Giant's Loo Roll.

For children with a passion for performance, the Belgrade theatre is delighted to play host to May Camp from Tues 31 May to Wed 1 June, two days of action-packed drama games and activities exploring the mysterious and enchanted landscapes of Greek Myths and Legends.

May Camp is led by experienced theatre practitioners. No previous drama experience is necessary to take part, just plenty of enthusiasm and a sprinkling of imagination.

May Camp is open to ages 8-11 and 11-16 years and runs from 10am - 4.30pm on both days. May Camp is priced at £50 per person. Family discounts available if two or more siblings booked onto the same event, during the same term. 20% off for two siblings, 25% off for three siblings and 30% off for 4 or more siblings.

Holiday Camp participants get 10% discount on Saturday Drama Classes in the following term.

There's theatrical fun by the bucket load for young theatregoers with Tale Gate Theatre and their all new production of The Giant's Loo Roll on Thursday 2 June, a fabulously funny and brilliantly bouncy musical adaptation of Nicholas Allan's much loved children's book.

The villagers living in the town below the Giant's house had better watch out, that loo roll has gone bouncing down the hill and straight towards them! Luckily, the townsfolk find lots of uses for runaway loo paper - one sheet provides a huge canvas for an artist, a tailor uses another to fill her shop with paper pants and a school class makes a huge dart that can fly.

But what about the Giant himself - doesn't he need any loo paper? The townspeople have an answer for that, too!

Featuring the perfect combination of witty humour, fantastic music and a touch of sparkle, look out for lots of excited children and a fantastic amount of toilet paper in this rip roaring new musical created especially for parents to enjoy with their children.

This will be followed by a visit from Pongo's Party on Fri 3 & Sat 4 June, a brand new show from the creators of Marty MacDonald's Farmfeaturing the voice of CBeebies' Justin Fletcher and Nicole Davis as Pongo the Pig and Molly-Moo the Cow.

Today is the day that Pongo the Pig has been waiting for - that's right, it's his birthday!

He's been dropping hints to his friends all year, so is looking forward to a fantastic party... but the trouble is, nobody seems to remember!

Molly-Moo the Cow is making a mess baking, Sheena the Sheep is rehearsing with her band, Sally the Scarecrow is in the middle of decorating and even Marty MacDonald is tied up with his parcels - whatever can they be up to?

And as if that wasn't bad enough, it looks as though someone is taking Pongo's birthday presents too - whoever can it be?

With a colourful farmyard and host of loveable puppet characters, Pongo's Party is particularly suitable for 3 - 7 year olds and comes jam-packed with fun, songs and laughter.

Audience members are invited to come dressed in their best party clothes to help make Pongo's Party a day to remember!
