Actor Keo Woolford Passes Away at Age 49

Hawaiian actor Keo Woolford passed away on Monday at the age of 49. He suffered a severe stroke three days earlier.

Most known for his one-man show, "I-LAND," which inspired his indie blockbuster, "The Haumana," Woolford had a successful career as a writer, director, and actor. He was also newly appointed Kumu Hula of Kumu Hula Robert Cazimero's Halau Na Kamalei o Lililehua.

Woolfored toured around the world as a member of Hawaii boy-band Brownskin and starred as the King of Siam in THE KING & I at the London Palladium. Woolford also starred in the remake of CBS' "Hawaii Five-O."

Tracy Larrua, Woolford's publicist, said in an official statement, "he is a talent and extraordinary human being that will be missed."
