An Evening of Dirty Dancing has extended it's UK tour into 2014 and introduces several cast changes this week.

Aimie Atkinson leads the cast from 9 May, replacing Jenna Lee James who is currently appearing as Killer Queen in the international tour of We Will Rock You. Aimie was the winner of the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre. Previous theatre credits include Chloe in Never Forget, Luisa in Zorro and Shelby in The Union theatre's production of Steel Pier.

Aimie is joined by Sophie Ayers who recently played Marina in Loserville at the Garrick Theatre. Other new cast members include Jonathan Mark-Mawson (Legally Blonde), Darren John (Grease, Zombie Prom), Laura Ellis and Joe Murphy. Original cast members Matt Firth (Fame, Tonight's the Night), Lucy Hope-Borne and Stephanie Ticknall-Smith continue in their roles.

The show is a fully choreographed, theatrical celebration of the iconic soundtrack to the movie Dirty Dancing, with choreography by Leanne Harwood.

The show's producer Paul Spicer said "The atmosphere is always electric. There's something about this soundtrack that ignites even the dullest of days. We totally encourage our audience to get up and dance and sing and immerse themselves in the summer of '63".
