The Queen of Crime's masterpiece, The Mousetrap, debuts at the Lyceum Theatre from Monday 4 - Sat 9 March, as part of its first national tour celebrating 60 years on stage.

The star cast features Steven France (EastEnders) as Christopher Wren, Karl Howman (Brush Strokes) as Mr Paravicni, Bruno Langley (Coronation Street) as Giles, Elizabeth Power (EastEnders) as Mrs Boyle, Graham Seed (The Archers) as Major Metcalf, Jemma Walker (EastEnders) as Mollie and Clare Wilkie (EastEnders) will play Miss Casewell. Bob Saul will reprise his West End role as Sgt Trotter.

A classic entertaining thriller, the scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murdered in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until the identity and the motive are finally revealed.

Sheffield-born Ian Watt-Smith returns to direct this new production, having directed the 38th, 41st, 58th and 59th years of the West End show, creating a sharp, witty, and engaging production.

The Mousetrap is famous around the world for being the longest running stage production since 1958; the first ever UK tour (scheduled for 60 weeks) continues to play to sold-out houses, whilst the 60 licensed productions around the globe continue to set records of their own.

Tickets for The Mousetrap are on sale now from Sheffield Theatres' Box Office, priced £18.00 - £30.00. Call 0114 249 6000 or visit sheffieldtheatres.co.uk to book.
