Last year, I wrote one of my most popular columns ever: the 100 Theatre Tweeters you MUST follow. Ever since, Ive been getting emails from both new and veteran tweeters, asking me when I might update the list. And as new shows emerge and new actors, directors, creative teams, and Broadway fans join our favorite social networking site, it has become clear that last Novembers list has become outdated.

So, I bring you to the new & improved Top 100 Theatre Tweeters you MUST follow on Twitter!!

You guys, this was hard. There are so many intelligent Broadway-related twitter feeds now that when I made my list of finalists, it numbered nearly twice than I had room for on the list!! Narrowing it down took days, and every time I thought I had it finished, a series of brilliant tweets would appear that made me question my decision. Many times I had to remind myself that too many great theatre tweeters is actually a very nice problem to have.

As I did with last years list (which you can view here), let me preface the list by telling you what its NOT:

  • Its not a list of the most famous Broadway folks on twitter.
  • Its not a list of my favorite PEOPLE on Broadway -- I judged purely on the quality, quantity, and Broadway-relevance of the tweets
  • It is not a ranked list. Everyone is in alphabetical order.
  • It is absolutely NOT a complete list of those worth following on twitter!!

This is simply, and completely subjectively, MY top 100 Theatre Tweeters, right at THIS moment in time.

Of course, I encourage you to chime in and discuss enthusiastically. Who are YOUR favorite twitterers on Broadway?

These are mine.

I invite your rants and raves in the comments below -- or of course, on twitter @ BroadwayGirlNYC. Visit's Twitter Watch for more Theatre on Twitter too!
