Gilbert and Sullivan's popular comic opera was first performed on the De La Salle stage back in 1952. With this updated version, Theatre De La Salle sets sail with a comedy that follows young Frederic, an orphan who has mistakenly been apprenticed to a raucous band of pirates. When he disavows the pirates' way of life and falls for the beautiful Mabel, the Pirate King devises an "ingenious paradox" that may prevent the budding romance to develop and put everyone's lives in danger.
Hoist your flags and drop your anchors for this hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, and an eccentric Major-General.
