Nasty, short and brutish, BULL is a razor-sharp, a-morality play about cutthroat office politics and Darwinian brutality in the workplace.

Like an episode of The Apprentice, three colleagues must compete for two jobs in a winner takes all scenario. Tony and Isobel deploy every trick in the bully's rule-book, and with a killer mentality move quickly to emasculate, humiliate, and undermine their co-worker Thomas.

The action is set in an a boxing ring with the audience sitting and standing around the four sides. It is impossible to avoid being drawn into their life or death contest and becoming complicit-even guiltily enjoying the thrill of the kill. BULL is interested in the primal, animalistic way humans behave when placed in an extremely competitive situation.

Directed by David Ferry (The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, After Miss Julie, Blackbird), BULL features Diana Bentley (Savage in Limbo, A Month in the Country, Our Town) as Isobel; Mark Caven (Maleficent, Murdoch Mysteries ) as Carter; Ryan Rogerson (As You Like It, Bingo!) as Thomas; and Damon Runyan (Gangland Undercover, In A Forest Dark And Deep) as Tony.

Mike Bartlett is an Olivier Award-winning British playwright and director whose previous works include King Charles III, An Intervention, and c*ckwith which Toronto audiences are familiar from 2014 production at the Theatre Centre.
