TEATRON Toronto Jewish Theatre presents SEVEN DAYS a world premiere by Ron Rutberg at the Toronto Centre for the Arts - Studio Theatre from tonight, January 8 - 19, 2014.

Ron Rutberg's new drama, SEVEN DAYS, follows the Reznick family in times of crisis. They live in Los Angeles now, the last place one would expect to find them. Nathan and Sarah Reznick are former fighters in the Irgun, a right-wing Jewish underground movement in pre-independence Jerusalem. They moved to America shortly after their side won and the state of Israel came to be. What drove these fierce nationalists so far from their cherished homeland? "This mystery drama lets us peek into two important events in the Resnick family, the day they kicked their youngest son, Barack, out of their home, and the reunion of the family at the death of Sarah 25 years later," says Ari Weisberg, founder and artistic director of TEATRON Theatre, "and through their stories, we learn more, bit by bit, about their actions during the war.

The cast of eight includes returning actors Ron Boyd, Bob Cooper, Marion Hirschberg, Richard Hoffman and Geoff Kolomayz*. We're also pleased to present Zachary B. Amzallag*, Karina Bershteyn and Katherine Housley in their TEATRON debut.

* appearing by special permission from Canadian Actors` Equity Association.
