Adam Gopnik is a multiple award-winning essayist and commentator who has been writing for The New Yorker since 1986. Turning to one of his favorite topics, food, Gopnik expounds on the imagery of food and feasting in Shakespeare, and its place in the history of thinking about the table in this Stratford Festival Forum. The 2013 season began on April 23 and runs until October 20, featuring Romeo and Juliet, Fiddler on the Roof, The Three Musketeers, The Merchant of Venice, Tommy, Blithe Spirit, Othello, Measure for Measure, Mary Stuart, Waiting for Godot, two new Canadian plays, Taking Shakespeare and The Thrill, and The Forum.
