YouTube FanFest is coming! On Saturday, May 2nd, Toronto will welcome some of the biggest Canadian and international YouTube stars for a live showcase in Yonge-Dundas Square.

The free public show will allow fans to get up close and personal with their favourite YouTube stars for an evening of laughter, music, mashups and more. This will be the first of these wildly popular events to take place in North America - previous FanFests have been held in India, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, Australia and Japan.

"Canadians are among the world's most dedicated and passionate YouTube fans," said Laura Lee, Global Head of Top Creators, YouTube. "YouTube FanFest is a one of a kind experience and we can't wait to share the excitement with fans in Toronto."

"We are thrilled that the first YouTube FanFest to land in North America is going to be in Toronto, which is a hotbed of creativity on YouTube," said Sam Sebastian, General Manager of Google Canada. "For nearly a decade, Canadians have embraced the creative power of YouTube to share their music, their comedy, their stories and their ideas. As a result, they have found new audiences for their work, both at home and around the world."

Hosted by Montreal-based food crew Harley Morenstein and Epic Meal Time, YouTube FanFest in Toronto will include an incredible mix of music, comedy, fashion, education and beauty all together on one stage and feature superstar YouTube creators and rising talent from Canada and across the globe. The combined reach of the participating YouTube creators is 59.9 million subscribers, with a cumulative 6.8 billion views.
