Nicole Strawbridge, Artistic Director, has announces that First ACT Productions will be presenting HAIR: The Tribal Love- Rock Musical, with book and lyrics James Rado and Gerome Ragni, and music by Galt MacDermott. The creative team includes Oscar Moreno (Director) Emma Bartolomucci (Choreographer) and Chris Tsujiuchi (musical director).

The production captures the spirit of the hippie youth movement of the 60's and helps us make connections with our current society so that, as we enter the Age of Aquarius, harmony and understanding will guide our lives promoting higher learning and enlightenment.

HAIR: The Tribal Love-Rock Musical (January 23- 26, 2013) is the first rock musical, and is one of the most adventurous, electrifying, and ultimately profound musicals ever. Join the Tribe, a group of long-haired, politically active hippies, as they gather to usher in the dawning of a new age in America. As the first and most successful of the rock musicals, Hair possesses a timelessness and a meaning that outlives the era of "flower power", and provokes you to take part in this celebration of life, and passionate cry for hope and change.

First ACT Productions strives to incorporate theatre students and graduates into every production to keep up their love of theatre and have them learn and be mentored by other artists in the industry. We are committed to producing high quality musical theatre productions in a fun and welcoming environment.

HAIR: The Tribal Love-Rock Musical, with Book and Lyrics by: James Rado and Gerome Ragni and Music by: Galt MacDermott, will run January 23-26 at 8:00pm and January 26 at 2:30. Performances take place at The Papermill Theatre - 67 Pottery Road, Toronto. $22.00 - General Admission.
