Fly on the Wall Theatre presents a Staged Reading of Sean O'Casey's Tragic-Comedy, The Shadow of a Gunman - the first play in his Dublin Trilogy. During the Irish War of Independence, a young poet is mistaken for an IRA gunman on the run. At first, he enjoys his new found notoriety, but in 1920's Ireland, there's a price to be paid for being the "shadow" of a gunman. Directed by Rod Ceballos (cited by Now Magazine for Outstanding Direction/2013 Toronto Fringe), the reading will take place at Fionn MacCool's Restaurant/Pub (181 University Avenue) on January 19th and 20th, 2014.

The Shadow of a Gunman features Alexander Crowther (Lady Julie), Katharine McLeod (My High Heeled Life), Anita La Selva (Earth Final Conflict), Rod Ceballos (The Weir), and Colin Edwards. Joseph Mottola (Inge Snapshots) and David Mackett (Cold Comfort) round out the cast. Have a pint, hear a play as Fly on the Wall Theatre presents the second reading of its 2nd Season of Irish Play Readings at Fionn MacCool's in Toronto's Financial District.
