EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL Extends Through 9/8 at the Pumphouse Theatre

Hit & Myth (H&M) and The Pumphouse Theatre present Evil Dead: The Musical, at The Pumphouse Theatre (2140 Pumphouse Avenue SW); performances begin August 14 and will now continue thru September 8. Tickets for already announced performances are currently on-sale in-person at The Pumphouse Theatre Box Office or phone at 403-263-0079 (10am-5pm; Monday thru Friday), or 24 hours/day at www.hitandmyth.com. Just released tickets for the additional dates go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, July 26th at 10am.

Following a near seven-week sold-out engagement in Calgary during the summer of 2009, H&M is bloody thrilled to partner with The Pumphouse Theatre to present Evil Dead: The Musical, one final time. Evil Dead: The Musical is based on the popular Sam Raimi cult-classic movie series, Evil Dead, and Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn and Army of Darkness.

Evil Dead: The Musical tells the all too familiar story, all told with toe-tapping songs and energetic dancing: boy and four friends break into an abandoned cabin while on a weekend getaway; boy expects to get lucky; boy discovers an ancient flesh-bound book with the power to summon the demons of Candar; boy unleashes ancient evil spirit; boy turns friends into Candarian Demons; boy fights until dawn to survive.

Patrons desiring an extraordinary one-of-a-kind experience can ask for THE SPLATTER ZONE - located in the first four rows of The Pumphouse Theatre; this section provides patrons the best seats in the house, interaction with the cast and guaranteed to leave you slathered in blood.

Evil Dead: The Musical plays Tuesday-Sunday evenings at 8pm, and tickets vary in range depending on performance, seat location, and date of purchase and start at $45 plus fees.

Tickets for already announced performances are currently on-sale in-person at The Pumphouse Theatre Box Office or phone at 403-263-0079 (10am-5pm; Monday thru Friday), or 24 hours/day at www.hitandmyth.com.
