DUSK DANCES, now in its 22nd year, will be presented at Withrow Park August 1 - 7, and will feature 5 contemporary dance pieces by local Canadian choreographers and dancers. Thousands of families and friends will be coming down to witness high quality dance pieces by Award-Winning artists.

DUSK DANCES is the only dance festival of its kind in Toronto right now, and special to this year, DUSK DANCES will feature a full length work called Auto-Fiction, featuring an actual car set in the middle of the park, creating a link between nature and Toronto's urban sprawl.

Each evening during DUSK DANCES, the audience will be guided to different locations across the park to witness short dance pieces. The show will be hosted by Allegra Charleston (a.k.a. Susie Burpee), with a special musical performance by Toronto's own DOUBLETOOTH, and a free Nia movement class!

And this season's presentation of DUSK DANCES is unique, as the show features a piece by Dora Award-Winning Canadian choreographer and performer Susie Burpee, called This Is How We Love, featuring performances by Sylvie Bouchard and Brendan Wyatt. The show will also include the Dusk Dances premiere of Waves, by Montreal based choreographer Milan Gervais.

Choreographers Sylvie Bouchard, Susie Burpee and Milan Gervais are available for interviews to discuss their works. And of course let me know if you're interested in speaking with any of the other dancers and choreographers involved in DUSK DANCES.
