Luminato Festival has confirmed that Andrew Rannells has withdrawn from the world premiere presentation of IF I LOVED YOU - GENTLEMEN PREFER BROADWAY- An Evening of Love Duets, due to a scheduling conflict with a new film project.

The Festival is very excited to announce that Brent Carver, currently in rehearsals for Company with Theatre 20, will graciously step in at the last minute. Brent Carver is a Tony-Award winning, internationally acclaimed Canadian artist who has performed major roles in Richard III, Cyrano De Bergerac, Tartuffe, Jacques Brel, Cabaret, Much Ado About Nothing, Lord Of The Rings, Mother Courage, and Kiss Of The Spider Woman, to name only a few.

IF I LOVED YOU: GENTLEMEN PREFER BROADWAY redefines dozens of the most beloved love duets in the Great American Songbook, performed exclusively by men and to men. Drawing on a century of stage hits and featuring a full Broadway orchestra, this groundbreaking evening will showcase Wainwright and an international spectrum of pop, jazz and musical theatre stars in unexpected, entirely enchanting pairs singing about the universality of love.

IF I LOVED YOU: GENTLEMEN PREFER BROADWAY will be performed on Saturday, June 14 for one night only at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. IF I LOVED YOU is a WorldPride Major Partner Event.

Update: It appears that Rannells pulled out of the event because he is taking over in the title role in HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH on Broadway.
