Burl's Creek Event Grounds recently announced the fall lineup and plans for closing day celebrations of the OK Friday Barn Fair. Today, Oct. 9, the art and farmers market that has attracted locals and cottage-goers alike since its debut in June will host its final market for the 2015 season with a performance by Juno Award-nominated songstress Basia Bulat and special guests.
October is the peak of growing season in Ontario, and neighbouring Northwinds Farm, Sunningdale Farm and Hewitts Farm Market will be onsite selling fresh and local produce. With the change in season, the market has also now moved into its permanent home - a beautiful and spacious 1920s white pine barn that has been restored to its full glory. "Out of all the projects we have worked on over the past while, the OK Friday Barn Fair has been the best creation yet," said Ryan Howes, vice-president of venue operations, Burl's Creek. "It's amazing to see people three to 80 years old enjoying the same destination. Pet-friendly, fully licensed bars, prepared and live cooking; and now that it's set up in and around the restored barn, the future growth is really exciting to think about."Below is the line-up of weekly performances for the fall season, curated by Arts & Crafts:
