The Aga Khan Museum is pleased to announce that it will be extending the run of its critically acclaimed exhibition Syria: A Living History. Originally slated to close on February 26, 2017, the exhibition will now remain open through March 26, 2017.

Described as "poignant and cathartic" by The Toronto Star, Syria: A Living History shows a side of Syria most have never seen. The exhibition gives visitors a chance to expand their understanding of a region that is defined by stories of conflict and displacement, through five thousand years of artistic and historical creativity.

Along with the exhibition, the Museum will also continue the Special Access for Syrian Newcomers program until March 26. The Special Access Program offers free admission to newly-arrived Syrians and their host families, to ensure that new Syrian Canadians have the opportunity to join in the Museum's celebration of the diversity and history of Syria.
